   2012 PROVISO WEST HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT

The suspense is over. The long awaited announcement of the 32 teams for the 2012 Proviso West Holiday Tournament has finally arrived. The event announced in December that it would expand from 16 to 32 teams for this year’s tournament. click here

  In the 2012 McDonald’s All-American game featuring the best of the best in Girls basketball, it was the East on top,79-78, behind the fine play of Alexis Prince who knocked down a team high of 15, followed by Brittney Holmes who added 13. ~Visit http://amateursports365.wordpress.com/2012/03/28/2012-mcdonalds-all-american-girls-basketball-game/

In the 2012 McDonald’s All-American game featuring the best of the best in Boys basketball, things got started with a fast-pace featuring top-ranked Shabazz Muhammad, who scored 9 of the teams opening 11 points, including a 3-pointer and a monster dunk that brought everyone to the feet.    2012 McDonald's All-American Players announced...

The McDonald’s All American Games unveiled the official rosters for the 35th Annual McDonald’s All American Boys Game and 11th Annual Girls Game. The games return back to Chicago on March 28 at Chicago’s United Center.

  Ryan Royall life cut short by a senseless act

Ryan Royall, of Hillcrest High School, journey to college was cut short when he was attending a party at Ho-Chuck Sports and Expo center.

He hoped to earn a college scholarship so his mother would not have to worry about money and college scouts were already taking notice with his play in high school as well as with his 16U AAU team.

 The best of the best Boys & Girls basketball players in the country showcased their talents at the United Center, Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Every Spring, some of the top high school basketball players from around the country face off in one of the hottest all-star contest: the McDonald's All American game. This game serves as a silver platter for fans' first national look at tomorrows NCAA stars and future NBA hopefuls. Local All-American 5'6" point guard, Ariel Massengale, has made it official and submitted a verbal commitment to Tennessee. She is recognized as a top point guard prospect in 2011 class who is rated the No. 6 overall in the ESPN HoopGurlz Hot 100. Click here for more.

Mariah Smith made her selection on her second official visit, and her selection was Princeton! Smith averaged 16 pts & 6.3 boards per game last season for Richwoods. She’s a 3-year varsity starter who is also listed as 57th in her recruiting class and ninth at her position by ESPN.com.
