The third contest featured the Bears vs. the Patriots. This was their first time facing each other under the same circumstances as the Widgets (rained out)

The Bears were the first get on the board with a run by Mr. Jeremiah Mitchell in the first quarter

On the other side of the ball, the Bears defense went straight at the Patriots during the first half preventing them from getting into the end zone.

In the second quarter, Mr. Mitchell showcased his skill set charging the Bears down the field once more to the end zone taking an earlier lead of 13 - 0 (including a successful extra point conversion).

The Patriots were just finding their rhythm for the afternoon and got into a strong groove dancing down the field for a touchdown for Mr. Andrew Shelton right before the half. During this drive, Mr. Shamari Warner made a fabulous catch thrown by DaQuan Richie with 46.7 seconds left on the clock (extra point conversion failed).

So at the half, the score was Bears 13, Patriots 6.

During halftime, the fans dealt with the cold weather and made the best of the afternoon with dancing, chanting and of course, doing everything they could to keep warm.

In the third quarter, Markham came out with fire in their belly's and scored early with a pass from Mr. Richie to Mr. Shelton for over 55 yards.

Going in to the fourth quarter the Bears knew they had to hold the Patriots' now explosive offense as well as try to get back on the board.... so with a couple of adjustments on defense, the Bears began to extinguish the fire of the Patriots.

With the clock running down and the Bears offense threatening, the Patriots decided to surrender a touchdown in order to get the ball back with time on the clock... so Mr. Mitchell ran in for over 40 yards on an uncontested touchdown including a failed extra point. This gave the Bears a 19 - 12 lead with less than 1 minutes left to play.

This strategy was a gamble by the Patriots which unfortunately didn't pay off. The Bears defense were able to contain them.

Once the clock expired, the Bears' coaches drenched head coach Banks with whatever they could get their hands on.

FINAL SCORE: 19 - 12
