After a tough opening week against St Rita, 28-26, the RedHawks bounced back BIG time last week against Brother Rice, in the Battle of Pulaski, putting them away early - Final score 55-14, and again tonight hosting Nazareth with a victory 45-37.

What an offensive shootout in high school football this contest was as Marist (2-1, 1-0) hung on for a nice win in the ECC. In the end, it was the defense making two huge plays late, an Isaiah Bickhem tackle for a loss and the secondary breaking up a Nazareth (2-1, 0-1) pass in the end zone with 1:11 left in the game, that sealed the game.

Nazareth ran for 294 yards, including two scores from Ivory Kelly-Martin (93 rushing yards) but couldn’t score late when they needed it the most.

On the other side of the ball, senior running back, Peter Andreotti finished the game with 168 rushing yards on 32 carries with three rushing touchdowns.

“It was an emotional two weeks for us after St. Rita and Brother Rice," Andreotti said after the game. "But we worked our butts off for this one, especially scoring 45 points. I couldn’t have done it without my offensive line.”
