Homewood-Flossmoor 21, SandburG 8

Homewood-Flossmoor was dominate in there final game of the season over Sandburg 21-8 in a Southwest Suburban Blue so-called showdown. Coming into this game, it put the conference's second-ranked offense (H-F) against its second-best defense (Sandburg). H-F senior quarterback Ronald Johnson, who transferred from Sandburg during the summer, showed the his former teammates what they missed by completing 10 of his 14 pass attempts for 153 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first half for a 19-0 lead. He also ran for 80 yards. "I pretended like it wasn't a big deal all week, but when it came down to it I wanted to beat them so bad and let them know that any chance I got was going to try," Johnson said.
