CONGRATULATIONS COLIN POWELL EAGLES

MATTESON - This evenings' contest featuring the power of the Mustangs versus' the speed of the Lady Eagles. The contest tipped off clean and quick with the Lady Eagles jumping out front with a 13 - 5 run in the first quarter.

This continued into the second quarter behind the aggressive play of Cierra Garrett, the defensive play of India Steward and the offensive play of Deasia Garrett.

In the third quarter, the Mustangs put the clamps on the Lady Eagles and held them to two points in the quarter as their offense settled down and began going to the basket.

Now coming down the stretch, both teams decided to let their defense dictate their offense.

Both teams had a fair number of shots at the free throw line

In the end, the Lady Eagles won the regional 3 championship and are headed downstate in a 47 - 31 victory. The high scorer of the game was Deasia Garrett of the Lady Eagles with 24 points.

Great game played and coached by the Lady Mustangs... absolutely nothing to hold their heads down to... There high scorer was Ms. Dana Gettis.
