North Lawndale 69, Brooks 42: The fifth-ranked Phoenix (22-5) eased into the semifinals on the strength of a 21-3 second-half run. John Taylor (14 points) and Jermaine Winfield (11 points, nine rebounds) led the way. Brooks fell to 22-6.

Hyde Park 62, Von Steuben 48: The Thunderbirds cruised behind Jerome Moore (15 points) and Malcolm Griffin (10 points and six assists). Guards Fabyon Harris and Martel Jackson combined for 17 points and 13 assists. Von Steuben dropped to 14-10.

Foreman 65, Curie 61: In a matter of 13 seconds, junior guard Mike McCall turned around Foreman's basketball fortunes.

McCall's clutch three-pointer with 1 minute 56 seconds left, followed by his steal and basket at the 1:43 mark, sparked the Hornets to a 65-61 victory over Curie in the Public League quarterfinals Sunday at the UIC Pavilion.

No. 6 Foreman (19-5) advances to its first final four against No. 7 Hyde Park (22-3) on Wednesday at DePaul.
