Will-Cook Week 6 recapWhat an exciting week 6 in the Will-Cook league.
The Raiders and Riverside split during their
contest, sort of... the Pee-Wee's played three overtimes to conclude with a
tie. Good defense on both sides of the ball coming down the stretch.
Markham shut out the Cardinals in 3 of the 4
games played this weekend, 0-28; 0-27;and 0-31. But as faith would
have it, the Cardinals got the last laugh winning the varsity contest 37-6
bringing their record to 3-3 and clinching a playoff berth.
Eastside and Country Club Hills split their
games this weekend, 6-21; 28-0, 39-6, 0-22 with both organizations clinched
playoff spots... CC Hills (all four levels); Eastside (Widgets, PeeWees &
Jr. Varsity). The
J-E-T-S came out to mini Soldiers' field (Rich Central high school) with a
plan to spoil the Bears homecoming. They almost completed their mission
winning 3 out of the 4 contest. The Varsity game came down to a botched snap
late in the 4th quarter deep in the red zone in which the Bears defense
recovered.

The Lions split their weekend contest against
the Mustangs, 0-19; 20-0; 7-0; & 6-31. University Parks' PeeWees victory
clinched a playoff spot, while Hazel Crest continues their winning ways
clinching two playoffs spots (Widgets & Varsity).
