Will-Cook Week 6 recap

What an exciting week 6 in the Will-Cook league.

The Raiders and Riverside split during their contest, sort of... the Pee-Wee's played three overtimes to conclude with a tie. Good defense on both sides of the ball coming down the stretch.
Raiders face Eastside; Riverside face Chicago.

Markham shut out the Cardinals in 3 of the 4 games played this weekend, 0-28; 0-27;and  0-31. But as faith would have it, the Cardinals got the last laugh winning the varsity contest 37-6 bringing their record to 3-3 and clinching a playoff berth.
Markham plays Country Club Hills; Chicago takes on Riverside at home.

Eastside and Country Club Hills split their games this weekend, 6-21; 28-0, 39-6, 0-22 with both organizations clinched playoff spots... CC Hills (all four levels); Eastside (Widgets, PeeWees & Jr. Varsity).
Eastside travels to the Windy city to face Chicago; Country Club Hills host Markham.

The J-E-T-S came out to mini Soldiers' field (Rich Central high school) with a plan to spoil the Bears homecoming. They almost completed their mission winning 3 out of the 4 contest. The Varsity game came down to a botched snap late in the 4th quarter deep in the red zone in which the Bears defense recovered Slide show from the afternoon can be found by clicking here.
South Holland host Hazel Crest, while the Matteson Bears travel University Park to take on the Lions.
NOTE: Matteson Bears plays Richton Park (varsity) Tuesday evening September 29 to continue their suspended contest.

The Lions split their weekend contest against the Mustangs, 0-19; 20-0; 7-0; & 6-31. University Parks' PeeWees victory clinched a playoff spot, while Hazel Crest continues their winning ways clinching two playoffs spots (Widgets & Varsity).
The Lions play host to the Matteson Bears; Hazel Crest travels to Jet Nation.

Will-Cook Widget Bowl is October 3, 2009 held in University Park at 10am.
