What a Labor Day weekend (week 3) in the Will-Cook-Kankakee Youth Association where two teams lost one game as "Madea Nature" defeated both Eastside and Kankakee teams causing postponement of their cross-town classic. The games will be made up Saturday, September 8.

In other week 3 news, a few teams got their first victories, while others still struggle to snag one. On the flip side of that, teams like Peewee's CC Hills & South Holland, and JV Markham continue to keep their opponents out of the end zone. Powerhouse, Varsity team from University Park, gave up their first touchdown of the year against Dixmoor and went over the 100 points on offense. So did Markham's JV team.

See ya at the LAST BCS championship game - January 7 in Miami!

In addition, it took double overtime to decide two games: WIDGET Panthers-Patriots; JV Vikings-Lions.

Park Forest Hurricanes JV team continues their winning ways, in which they haven't tasted defeat in the WCKYA and are 11-0 in the regular season... longest active streak going. but next week, they will face the ULTIMATE matchup as they play undefeated and stingy Markham Patriots. Based on this game, someone will receive their first loss of the year, and more importantly, can the Patriots give the Hurricanes their first defeat? WHEW!!!! This is going to be a GREAT GAME!!!! Stay tune....

Our Game of the Week for week 3 was the Varsity matchup between Richton Park Raiders and South Holland Jets. The game will be made available on our online TV station at AmateurSports365 TV by Tuesday, September 4.
