Thornton had too much offense for Rich Central

HARVEY - Thornton quarterback Darren Jones played two separate  halves of football. The first half was kind of flat for the Wildcats, but whatever coach Bill Mosel said at halftime worked.

Jones came out in the second half on fire scoring two touchdowns. The Wildcats' defense also found their spark and began swarming to the ball on every play keeping the Olympians from scoring in the second half.

Rich Central did get on the board with a 28 yard touchdown pass from Dajon Sherman to Kyle Winfrey.

On a sad note, there were three offsetting unsportsmanlike penalties and Thornton had two players ejected and Rich Central one.

Final Score: Thornton 34 - Rich Central 6
