Crete-Monee ruined homecoming for Rich Central

Olympia Fields - As the headline states, it was homecoming game... for some, the last high school homecoming experience they will ever have and for those seniors, they wanted to come out and get a victory.

But no one told the Warriors that this wasn't there party... they came out and had all of the fun dominating on both sides of the ball. On defense, the Warriors held the Olympians passing game as well as the running game to under 100 yards for the night.

Also on defense, cornerback intercepted a pass and sprinted down the field for a touchdown and a 6-0 lead in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, special teams joined the party for the Warriors with a blocked punt and recovery in the end zone, and with a punt return for a touchdown which would end the first half with a 18 - 0 lead.

The Olympians halftime performance went a little long causing them to receive a delay of game penalty to start the second half.

The Warriors kept implementing their game plan and quarterback Armand Pierre tossed red-zone touchdown to take a 24 - 0 lead with a little more than 7 minutes left in the half, and another one in the fourth quarter. With over 7 minutes left in the final quarter, Warriors held a commanding lead of 30 - 0.

The Olympians were determined not to be shutout on their field, on homecoming night, so senior Giorgo Bowers was able to score on a short run with a little over 2 minutes left to play.

Final Score: Crete-Monee 30 - Rich Central 6
