A Battle of friends in the playoffs. . .

FRANKFORT - From the standpoint of Mount Carmel, it was all Jordan Lynch. He rushed for over 190 yards and had two touchdowns in the contest. On the other side of the ball, it was all Spencer Stanek who completed the evening with over 300 yards of offense including three touchdowns.

Believe it or not, Lynch and Stanek are friends... as you can see competitive friends that is.

Milton Greer played a good game for the Caravan in which he scored the first touchdown of the first half.

In the end, Lynch and Mt. Carmel halted Stanek's high school career with a 34-31 victory in the Class 8A playoffs.

Mt. Carmel will face Marist in next week's quarterfinals.
