The Warriors attacked early and often as senior Marcus Terrell and LaQuon Treadwell hooked up for a 68-yard touchdown, Treadwell outleaping two defenders for the ball before racing to the end zone. Terrell completed 14-of-21 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns as they rolled past T.F. South 38-7 in a season opener in Crete. “That play set the tone tremendously,” Treadwell said. “It got everyone fired up. Marcus was on today. He came out firing.” Terrell and Treadwell connected six times for 155 yards. Lance Lenoir added five catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns. “We have plenty of good receivers,” Terrell said. “Them putting people on Laquon just opens it up for everyone else.” Crete finished the season 10-1 (5-0) and dominated the playoffs by knocking off Bloomington in the opening round, but went down to Peoria Richwoods in the Class 6A second round.
