IHSA - Turns out the biggest beneficiary of Kapri Bibbs' 520-yard game against Oswego on Friday is DeAndre Hooper.
Listed as the sixth-highest total in the national
record book, the omission of Hooper's 593 yards against Near North appears
to have been an oversight, the IHSA told the Tribune. For 24 years, the
single-game rushing record in Illinois was listed as belonging to Billy
McClure of Maroa-Forsyth, who ran for 498 yards against Niantic-Harristown.
Bibbs rushed for 520 yards and seven touchdowns in a 49-43 win over Oswego.
