Marian Catholic 71, Homewood-Flossmoor 60
Tyler Ulis, who incurred turf toe at Thursday’s practice, finished with 25 points as Marian Catholic eliminated Homewood-Flossmoor 71-60 in a Class 4A Thornton Sectional final.

The Spartans (28-2) will face Edwardsville in Tuesday’s Class 4A ISU Supersectional.

Ulis finished with 25 points, 18 of them in the second half. Terrone Parham was also clutch for Marian with 16 points (four three-pointers) and seven rebounds, Josh Cohn scored 12 points and John Oliver nine.

“It was either win or go home, so you have to play your heart out,” Ulis said.

H-F (17-12) was led by Kendric Pryor (15 points) and Tai Odiase (13 points, 12 rebounds).
