Vikings rolled passed Lincoln-Way Central 71-44 in a game that was postponed from Friday’s snowstorm.

“Last night was kind of a disappointing evening, falling short against Bloom,’’ H-F coach Jim McLaughlin said. “So we wanted to keep the energy up and try to get everyone involved.’’

Thad Little had a team-high nine points off the bench in the second half. Antonio Bishop, Tim Williams, Rashaan Surles and Jordan Wallace each had seven points for H-F (13-5, 6-0).

“It’s nice to have the opportunity to get everybody four- or five-minute chunks in the game,’’ McLaughlin said. “We’ve been fortunate a few times this year to be able to get some good rotations, try to exert as much energy as possible.’’

Lincoln-Way Central (8-11, 1-5) closed the gap to 34-27 three minutes into the second half before H-F regained its double-digit lead aided by a three-pointer from Tyrone Sherman for a 39-27 advantage.

Jabari Parker finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks and Kendrick Nunn added 20 points and eight rebounds as top-ranked Simeon cruised past Bogan 68-57.

"We are basically getting back to playing Simeon basketball," Simeon coach Robert Smith said. "We have to keep competing like that. We can't get bored. We can't just step out there and think we're going to win.

"One thing about when I had Derrick (Rose), we had that killer instinct. When you were down 30, they wanted you to be down 50. They didn't get bored. Jabari now has that killer instinct where every time he touches the ball, he thinks he's going to score."

Kendrick Nunn added 20 points and 8 rebounds for Simeon (19-1, 8-0), while Devonte Smith led Bogan with 13 points and 9 rebounds.

A pair of nationally recognized 6-foot-10 sophomores, Young's Jahlil Okafor and Curie's Cliff Alexander, waged an entertaining battle that may be renewed many times over the course of their promising careers, and in the end it was Curie on top... 57-46.

Devin Foster knocked down 22 points and Malcolm Hill-Bey added 11.

But sophomore Alexander added the main ingredient Curie needed to snag this victory with 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots before fouling out, while Okafor had nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for Young.

Young was led by Paul White who scored 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocked shots.
