Over or Under?
Hello All:

Hope you all are having a great weekend thus far. Today in Chicago, the weather seems to be cooperating...sunny, blue skies...just beautiful! If you live here, I hope that you will get out and enjoy the weather and get some exercise in while you are at it.

Thank you again for your suggestions and questions, as always, please continue to forward my information to your family and friends. Also, please let anyone that you know that is age 65 and older to contact me regarding Medicare Supplements. I can assist them.

Many of you that are currently employed will begin to get notification at work about the open enrollment for your company benefits, usually takes place in October. I have several clients that have had questions regarding the coverage's for life, health and disability insurance at their jobs. Many of them did not understand all of the offerings and what the actual benefits cover or leave off, I have been able to help them.

It is important to consider a couple of things:

1. If your company offers life insurance: Is the policy portable? (I mean can you take this policy with you if you get fired or laid-off?) Most company life insurance policies are not portable. Time to consider a supplemental policy.

2. If your company offers disability insurance, do they offer both long-term and short term? What do these benefits cover? For how long? Are there any exclusions? (per-existing medical conditions that exclude you from coverage)

3. If you have all or part of these benefits...could you still be under-insured if you get into an accident or if you become severely ill??? How long will your income last for you to pay your bills etc. if you become disabled? It is VERY IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER DISABILITY INCOME INSURANCE !!!!

If I have provoked your thought with these questions, please call me so that I can sit down with you and review your company benefits and we can make a determination if you have adequate coverage for the money you are paying from your paycheck every month. We can get you set up with the coverage you might be missing.

Please save the date for The Financial Wealth & Health Seminar is Sat. 11/12. It is guaranteed to not be your normal seminar!!!You can come as you are...we want everyone to be relaxed, inspired and encouraged and have fun!!!!
