I am hoping that you are having a blessed & restful Holiday weekend? My heart extends to all of the Military Service Men & Women who have given their lives for service & defense of this Country.

As always, I appreciate those of you who faithfully read my tip of the week. I love your feedback!

As a licensed financial consultant, we are trained to sit with a client and do a "needs" analysis, that is, look at what you have (financially) right now and help you put together a plan of where you need to be currently and in the future.

I encourage everyone, every week to take necessary steps to get their house in order.

The house I am describing is a "Portfolio". People here this word all the time and some say, "I  don't have any money to do that." I say, Yes you can!  Let me help you find the money.

The House(Portfolio) simply is:

  • Life Insurance
  • A variety of Retirement vehicles - 401k, pension, annuities, IRA, mutual funds/stocks
  • Cash
  • Savings for child(ren) education
  • Credit
  • Managed Debt
One item I left off the list is Critical Illness insurance. Your house can become depleted if you have all of these things in place and you do not have coverage in the event of untimely critical illness. IT IS ESSENTIAL!

Your chances of surviving a critical illness are greater now than ever before; however, the associated costs of treatment and recovery can lead to financial hardship or ruin/bankruptcy.

The health & life insurance you currently have may not be enough to keep you afloat:
  • Medical insurance pays your healthcare provider for some of your treatment expenses. In some cases all medical insurance does not cover co-pays & deductibles, home healthcare, experimental treatments, uncovered or additional prescription drugs, or rehabilitation.
  • Disability insurance pays you a portion (percentage) of your income after 3 - 6 months waiting period in some cases.
  • Life insurance pays your beneficiary if you pass away.

Critical Insurance will pay you an amount, you elect between $10k - $100k CASH and TAX FREE in the event of heart attack, stroke, cancer, end stage renal/kidney failure, Alzheimer's.

You can use the money to pay medical bills/deductibles/co-pays, supplement loss of income, take a vacation, maintain your day to day quality of life.

We know tomorrow is not promised to us, we also know that untimely illness can strike at any moment!

For those of you who have their house in order,  I commend you.

For those of you who still need to make some additions to your house, please contact me. I want to help!
