Every remaining team has a shot to punch their ticket downstate... thus, it is truly a win or go home weekend. In addition to the State playoffs, the remaining Public and Catholic league teams battle for the city of Chicago bragging rights.  Here is this weeks schedule...

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2011 SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19 FOOTBALL - IHSA STATE SEMIFINALS CLASS 8A- to view the bracket Loyola 28, Glenbard North 13 The Ramblers' knocked off Glenbard North in the Class 8A state semifinal in Wilmette 28-13. The Ramblers (13-0) will face Bolingbrook for the 8A title at 7 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, the program's first trip to state since it won its only title in 1993. Palivos (16 carries, 89 yards, 1 TD) became an unlikely candidate to help the Ramblers out of a 13-0 deficit after carrying the ball three times for 12 yards in the first half. "At halftime Coach said I wasn't coming out of the ballgame," Palivos said. "I took it to heart and played with fight and ran behind our offensive linemen, and they dominated that defensive line in the second half." Good thing for Loyola that Palivos didn't come out. During the half's opening drive, Palivos ran for 14 yards and caught a 35-yard pass from Malcolm Weaver to set up a 22-yard touchdown reception by Peter Pujals. Weaver completed all four of his passes for 76 yards during the drive. Up next in the Class 8A finals will be Loyola vs. Bolingbrook, 7 p.m. Saturday. PRE-ORDER NOW for $15 CLASS 7A - to view the bracket Wheaton Warrenville South 21, St. Rita 14 Wheaton Warrenville South has not lost since, and the Tigers still don't have a proven quarterback. Dan Vitale rushed for 122 yards and the game's first three touchdowns on 33 carries Saturday as Wheaton South built a big early lead and held on for a 21-14 victory against St. Rita in a 7A semifinal. Third-string quarterback Jordan Davis, who spent most of the fall on the sophomore team, played the entire second half in relief of injured starter Thaddeus Armstrong and likely will be under center when Wheaton South (10-3) meets Rockford Boylan (13-0) for the title Saturday in Champaign. "We're right back where we were in January 2010, finding a new quarterback," Wheaton South coach Ron Muhitch said. "Maybe that's the destiny of the team this year, to play team football. St. Rita was led by Mike Zunica, who carried the ball 19 times for 132 yards followed by Scott Thomas, who went 17-for-27, 118 yards, 2 TDs. Wheaton South vs. Rockford Boylan, 4 p.m. Saturday CLASS 6A - to view the bracket Peoria Richwoods 34, Lemont 31 (2 OT) Prairie Ridge 33, Batavia 22 CLASS 5A - to view the bracket Joliet Catholic 49, Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 7 The Hilltoppers, winners of a state-best 13 championships, will try to win their 14th next weekend after topping previously unbeaten Sacred Heart-Griffin 49-7 behind their running game Saturday in Joliet. "It's very humbling to have another chance at a state championship," said Hilltoppers coach Dan Sharp, whose team will face Montini at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Class 5A final in Champaign. "We have a chance of upholding the Hillmen tradition." CLASS 4A - to view the bracket Richmond-Burton 40, Stillman Valley 28 Rochester 41, Charleston 13 PUBLIC LEAGUE FINAL Simeon 36, Harper 8 Senior and Arkansas-bound quarterback, Robert Gregory, had two touchdowns and a 128 yards on the ground to help the Wolverines to a victory over Harper at Gately Stadium Saturday, 36-8.  Simeon now advances to their sixth Prep Bowl, where they will face Mount Carmel. It is important to note that the Wolverines are winless in the Prep Bowl (0-5). Game is scheduled for Friday, November 25 at noon (Gately Stadium).
