CHICAGO - Gwendolyn Brooks junior point guard George Marshall made a verbal commitment to Wisconsin.

"Wisconsin had the right mix of academics and athletics for me," said Marshall. "It's a basketball school. Coach (Bo) Ryan is a great coach."

Marshall chose the Badgers over Arizona, Baylor, DePaul, Illinois State, Marquette, Ohio, Wake Forest and Xavier.
