BOYS BASKETBALL
BROOKS TOURNAMENT: Douglass 49, Austin 42
Michael Baker had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds
and 10 assists for Douglass (6-6, 1-1).
Championship game: Brooks 70, Prosser 50
George Marshall led Brooks to the tournament championship with
16 points, which included four 3-pointers.
CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT
Foreman 64, Crane 50
Mike McCall scored a game-high 22 points for Foreman to advance
to the finals. Lavonte Dority added 16 points and Tommy
Woolridge 12.
Simeon 46, North Lawndale 43
Darien Walker and Brandon Spearman each scored 10 points for
Simeon. Jermaine Winfield had 12 points for North Lawndale.
Consolation champ: Marshall 66, Farragut 41
3rd place: North Lawndale 67, Crane 66
North Lawndale was led by Jermaine Winfield's 13 points. Jeremy
Newton had 21 for Crane.
Championship: Foreman 54, Simeon 42

Wheeling 57, Grayslake Central 51
Janelle Cannon scored 30 points for Wheeling.

Waukegan 73, New Trier 62
Waukegan had five players reach double digits in scoring -- Aaron
Johnson (18 points), Mike Springs (16), Jereme Richmond (15), Akeem
Springs (12) and Quan Conner (10).
Crane 56, Morgan Park 51
U-P-S-E-T!!! Crane's
Kieran Woods scored 8 of his 18 in the 4th quarter to lead the team into
the CPS Tournament semifinals against Foreman.
Foreman 76, Orr 59
Mike McCall led Foreman with 26 points. Orr's Mycheal Henry had 30
points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
Simeon 51, Hyde Park 39
Fabyon Harris had a game-high 20 points for Hyde Park. Brandon Spearman
led Simeon with 10 points.
Findlay (Nev.) 78, De La Salle 47
Alex Foster and Michael Shaw each scored 12 points for De La Salle (5-4)
against the nationally ranked No. 1 Findlay.
Vocational 91, Harlem 45
Hollis Hill led Vocational (12-2) with 28 points. Aaron Williams added a
double-double (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Ray McGrew had 12 points and
nine rebounds.
Zion-Benton 85, Marian Central 55
Lenzelle Smith scored 22 points for Zion-Benton.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Wheeling 55, Carmel 37
Bianca Szafarowicz led Wheeling with 17 points, four rebounds and four
steals. Stephanie Kuzmanic and Janelle Cannon each chipped in 11 for the
Wildcats.

Consolation championship: Kenwood 75, Dunbar 45
3rd place: King 56, Hyde Park 42
Championship: Lincoln Park 67, North Lawndale 42
Jasmine Williams led Lincoln Park with 22 points and Tanisha McTiller
chipped in 19 and was named tournament MVP.
NIKE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
Bolingbrook 58, Norcross (Ga.) 47
Morgan Tuck had 16 points and 6 rebounds for Bolingbrook.
OAK LAWN TOURNAMENT
Championship: Harlan 72, Lincoln-Way North 61
Tikeyiah Johnson scored 26 points to lead Harlan to the title in the Oak
Lawn Tournament.
3rd place: Oak Lawn 47, Richards 43
Kim Braasch led Oak Lawn to the third place finish with 15 points.
Bridget Niemiec had 12 points and Kelly Foley added 10.
Rich East 51, Evergreen Park 33
Diamond Burt scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Rich East.
Makeba Elliot also had a team-high 16 points.
STERLING TOURNAMENT
Montini 50, Richwoods 33
Connecticut-bound Michala Johnson led the way for Montini (10-1) with 17
points, 13 rebounds and five blocks at the Sterling Shoutout.

The CPS holiday tournament features
several teams to not only to showcase their talents, but also a platform
to make a statement in the public league. This years' tournament is no
different...
CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT
Foreman 70, Marshall 48
Lavonte Dority fueled Foremen in a BIG win over Marshall with 16 points,
3 assists and 3 steals, with a steady co-pilot of Eddie Denard who
knocked down 13 of his own.
Morgan Park 77, Uplift 47
When the Mustangs are playing what else can you say but "Wayne
Blackshear!" Tonight was no different... Blackshear got red hot in the
third quarter scoring 19 of his 42 points on this run to continue
their undefeated season.
CITY OF PALMS (Ft. Meyes, Fla.)
De La Salle 57, Bartow (Fla.) 40
Michael Shaw led De La Salle in scoring with 12 points.
Vocational 71, Rochelle 29
Cavs got off to a wonderful start in this contest and never let up. Big
man, Aaron Williams, led the team with 17 points and 7 boards for the
easy victory.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Wheeling 55, Deerfield 32
Wheeling's Janelle Cannon had a double-double in this contest - 23
points and 12 steals to get the easy win over Deerfield. She also had 8
rebounds.
Zion-Benton 56, Huntley 45
Hillcrest transfer, Juanita Robinson, played BIG for the Lady ZeeBee's
knocking down 31 points in the Mundelein Tournament. I guess it's safe
to safe, Ms. Robinson has adjusted and is fitting in with her new team.
NIKE TOURNAMENT
Bolingbrook 57, South Eugene (Ore.) 47
Morgan Tuck had 22 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks for Bolinbrook.
OAK LAWN TOURNAMENT
De La Salle 53, Rich East 40
Diamond Burt had a double-double (14 points, 14 rebounds) for Rich East
in the loss.
