ASNN365 - During week 4 of the 2010 season, Will-Cook had to compete with the NFL for the first time, but many stands were still packed. Plus, Mother Nature provided the entire league with fantastic weather. As for game play, two teams swept their opponents and two other teams won three out of four games, plus it took three separate overtimes to decide the outcomes - all were in the junior varsity level.

Amateur Sports game of the week featured the Jets, who were celebrating their 38th year in existence and homecoming, hosting the Bears.

WIDGETS
In the opening contest, it was all the Jets. The Jets got on the board three times in the first half. Their first score was a short 2 yard run by Mr. Miles Scott. A few minutes later, the Jets defense and Mr. Tyler Hill intercepted a pass. On their next possession, they ran the ball into the end zone on the legs of Eddie Ell III. Mr. Jet himself, Malik Harris, scored right before the half on a 36 yard scamper. To view Mr. Harris' run, click our YouTube button.

The Bears were able to get on the board with a fabulous run by  Kahlid Lamarre who dashed down the field for 47 yards in the fourth quarter. Another highlight from the Bears came late in the fourth quarter when their defense stripped the ball, just like the pros do,  when the Jets were threatening to score. The strip happened with 3:17 left in the game. If you would like to relive this game, visit AmateurSports365.TV. Final score: 20-6. To view Lamarre's run, click our YouTube button.

PEEWEE

In this contest, all we can say is Jaleel Mason. Mr. Mason ran for well over 200 yards including one for 39 yards, 78 yards and 90 yards in this contest against the Bears.

Not to be out done, Jahreal Williams got into the act with a 68 yard sprint for a score of his own in the third quarter.

The Bears got on the board with a tough inside hand-off from 35 yards away by Raymond Bryant. To view Bryant's run, click our YouTube button.

Jr. VARSITY
Depending on which side of the fence you are on, this contest was either a defensive game for both teams, or a turnover happy event, at least during the first half. The Jets turned the ball over twice before halftime with an interception and a fumble, while the Bears turned the ball over once on an Interception. In the second half, the Jets launched twice into the end zone. Their first score was made by Branden Houston 5 minutes into the third quarter. And the nail in the coffin was supplied by Darshon "Rabbit" McCullough on a 40 yard dash down the field in the fourth.

VARSITY
In the final contest, well, it started similar to the junior varsity game. Both teams had a difficult time holding on to the ball. The Jets fumbled on their first possession. Well, not to be outdone, the Bears fumbled too, but theirs came as they were marching towards the end zone.

The Jets gained their composure and used their focus to score first. The score came on a pass play from Trenton Ford to Anthony Ries. Shortly after this score, Jonathan Stokes-Stewart scored on a 52 yard run making the game 12-0 . Right before the half, the best run of the season so far (that we have witnessed) was provided by Mr. Ries, in which, he ran the ball 92 yards to the end zone. But as describe, it wasn't the length of the run, it was how he got there.

In the video, it would appear that Mr. Ries was going out of bounds, but then he "juked" back to the right and faked out a defender for the score.

The Jets scored one more time late in the fourth quarter on a quarterback keeper.
