Big win for Robeson. . .CHICAGO -Tough afternoon for Julian faithful and their annual J.W. Smith & Roy Curry Bowl Sunday afternoon at Gately. The Jaguars could not get started offensively and their defense, well... final score of this contest was 40 - 6. Juwane Pipkins, junior quarterback for the Raiders, was poised and directed the team to five straight scores in the first half and finished the game 7-for-17 and 120 yards plus he ran for a one-yard touchdown. Deonte Stevens was on the end of one of Pipkins touchdown passes and also recorded an interception. The play on the afternoon was when Stevens scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass on a beautifully executed halfback option pass from Romaro Jones.
Jaguars did get on the board late in the fourth quarter with a short run by Jarvis Powell.
