GIRLS BASKETBALL

Homewood-Flossmoor 65, Hillcrest 61
Charnelle Reed scored 23 and Sydni Johnson and Ashley Collins each had 14 points for Homewood-Flossmoor. Samirah Ali led Hillcrest with 15 points.

Rich South 39, Lincoln-Way West 38
DeAsia Garrett hit a three-pointer with five seconds remaining to give Rich South the win. She finished with 16 points. Kiela Garner had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four steals in the win.

Marshall 49, New Trier 47 (OT)
Marshall's Brianna Walker had game-winning layup with 6 seconds left in overtime.

Providence 65, Rich East 41
Cassidy Glenn scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds and Emily Persak had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Providence (1-1).

Fenwick 78, Oak Park 38
Sarah Williams led Fenwick with 15 points and four assists. Kathleen Roach also scored 14 points in the win.


St. Benedict 57, Hope Academy 12
Heather Obmann's 21 points powered the offense for St. Benedict (2-0). Amanda Genge chipped in 12 points and six steals.

Andrew Tournament
Andrew 54, Joliet West 32
Molly Franson scored 14 points and Nicole Botich added 13 to lead Andrew to the win.

Rich South 66, Oak Lawn 54
Chaz Duson scored 30 points and Alexandra Stanford had 15 to lead Rich Central. Oak Lawn's Bridget Niemiec had 14 points in the loss.

Bobby Bolton Classic at Richards
Lincoln-Way East 51, Curie 30
Meaghan McMahon had 13 points to lead Lincoln-Way East. Caelynn Allen Manning scored 12 for Curie.

T.F. South 48, Evergreen Park 36
Megan Majors scored 12 points and Kaila Doby and Dominique Brooks each had 11 for T.F. South.

Pontiac Tournament
Morgan Park 83, LaSalle-Peru 20
Kendyl Nunn had 19 points to lead Morgan Park.

Romeoville Tournament
Lemont 34, Lockport 25
Lemont's Brenna Koerner was the game's leading scorer with 14 points.

Lincoln Park 69, Plainfield Central 39
Lincoln Park outrebounded Central 48 to 30 in the win. Central's Brigid Hanley had 26 points in the loss.
