SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11
GIRLS BASKETBALL

Young 60, Trinity 45
Chanise Jenkins had 22 points and 10 steals to lead Young (6-1). Linnae Harper also chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Dolphins.

Marian Catholic 67, Marist 58
Jasmine Matthews finished with 25 points for Marian Catholic. Marist's Leah Bolton scored 26 and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.

Bishop McNamara 64, Carmel 41
Erika Tatum led the way for Bishop McNamara (5-2) with 26 points and Belinda Schaasma chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Fenwick 53, Benet 41
Kathleen Roche and Sarah Williams led Fenwick (8-1, 2-0) to victory with 15 points and 12 points, respectively.

Harlan 57, Hyde Park 50
Joshona Wimbish scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Harlan improved to 4-7 on the season.

Joliet Catholic 63, Providence 45
Meghan Novak led Joliet Catholic (6-3, 2-0) with 22 points and Mary Susan Rouse also chipped in 10 points. Cassidy Glenn had 16 points and seven rebounds for Providence (7-5) in the loss.

Lincoln Park 54, Glenbrook South 50
Jasmine Williams led Lincoln Park (10-0) with 12 points, but the winning effort was aided by Diamond Houston's 11 points and 10 points apiece from Teashea Smalls and Vanessa Henley.

West's Kaitlyn Ray scored 21 points in the win.

Anna Schueler led the way for Loyola (7-1) with 13 points. Ashely McConnell was the game's high scorer with 17 for Fremd (8-2).

Natalie Gath had 19 points and 22 rebounds and Alex Lee added 19 points and 18 rebounds for Mount Assisi (4-4).

Niles North 61, Regina 41
Alissa Hirsh's 22 points helped Niles North improve to 5-5. Vanessa Kieres had 15 points for Regina (3-7) in the loss.

Oak Lawn 54, Thornridge 30
Bridget Niemie had 17 points to lead Oak Lawn (3-6). Kelly Foley also chipped in 10 points.

Oswego East 66, Naperville North 62
Oswego East (7-3, 3-1) was led by Arneasa Blair with 23 points. Ameera George also chipped 12 points and eight rebounds for the Wolves.

Proviso East 70, Marshall 47
Ivory Crawford had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead Proviso East (8-1). Jakeisha Wells added 10 points and 10 rebounds and Stacy Welch had seven assists in the win.

St. Charles North 64, South Elgin 52
Becca Smith scored a game-high 37 points in the loss for South Elgin.

Gena Lenti had 13 points and Mariah Harris had 12 points and seven rebounds for St. Ignatius (5-6, 2-0).

St. Viator 53, Nazareth 29
Taylor Skala scored 22 points and had six assists for St. Viator (4-5, 1-2 ESCC). Lauren Rooney recorded her fourth triple-double in five games, scoring 13 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and adding two blocks.

Wayne Blackshear had 56 points, 21 rebounds and eight blocks for Morgan Park.

High-scorer Tracy Abrams led Mount Carmel with 18 points.

Evergreen Park 68, Lincoln Way-West 59
TJ Cobbs led Evergreen Park to victory with 16 points and three assists. Lincoln Way West's TJ Dikos was the game's top scorer with 21 points.

LJ McIntosh was the game's top scorer with 21 points for Marist. Mike Marotta scored 10 points in the loss.

Brian Oddo scored 19 points to lead Providence (1-6).

Imiri Adams, Joshua Powell and Roy Barnes scored eight points each for Ag. Science.

Alex Majewski scored 18 points to lead Brother Rice (5-1, 3-0).

DeShawn Delaney scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Carver (7-1). Devonte Wilkins also had a double-double in the win with 16 points and 10 assists.

Mike Shaw and Dre Henley each scored 17 points for De La Salle (6-0, 2-0).

James Scott had 11 points and hit the game winning shot with 3.4 seconds remaining to give DuSable (1-4) its first win of the year.

Bolingbrook's Morgan Tuck had 27 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and two steals. The top-ranked Raiders improved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in conference.

Lincoln-Way North 50, Stagg 32
Emily Jenkins scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Lincoln-Way North (5-1). Taylor Boardman also had double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Chaz Duson finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Alex Stanford had 12 points and 10 assists for Rich Central (4-3).

Robert Hurd had 15 points, six assists and six steals and Rayshaun McGrew had 14 points in two quarters in his first game back from an ankle injury for Vocational (4-3).

Simone Law scored 22 points for undefeated Marian Catholic (7-0, 1-0). Danielle Barry had 12 points in the loss for Providence (7-4, 1-1).

Kiana Johnson finished with 13 points, seven assists and seven steals for Young (4-1, 2-0). Chanise Jenkins led all scorers with 20 points in the win.


Fenwick 51, Carmel 36

Kyra Navarrete and Kathleen Roche each scored 16 points for Fenwick (7-1, 1-0). Navarrete also grabbed 10 rebounds in her double-double performance.

Meghan Novak was the leading scorer for Joliet Catholic (5-3) with 14 points.

Olivia Wilcox scored 12 points to lead Libertyville. Zion-Benton's Juanita Robinson scored 17.
