President/Owner: Craig V. Dove-El Ultimate Athletics (UA)
has been on the scene for over 6 years behind the vision of Craig V.
Dove-El. His vision of this cheerleading
organization has been catapulted to something very special. |
UA has nine competitive
teams, 2 summer teams and 1 fall/winter team consisting of well over 200
participants. In addition, 130 classes are offered in a given week including
tumbling, flying, stretching and conditioning.
From
this, they have obtained countless awards at every level. Recently, at the 2009
Champion Spirit Group (CSG) Midwest Challenge, they won four first
place, two Exhibition including Youth
Show and Special Needs teams, ten Specialty Awards and three Grand Champion
recognitions at the senior open (level2), youth (level 3) and junior (level 5).
They
are also sending ten athletes to
the World competition.
UA
has one of the largest cheerleading and tumbling facilities in the
country. Athletes, who work out at our gym, are provided with
world class training equipment to maximize their potential and growth.
The emphasis at Ultimate Athletics is to provide a safe and
comfortable learning environment. The facilities include:

In
order for UA to continue to grow and provide all of these wonderful services,
they have a number of staff members in place that understand the organizations
vision, and what it takes to implement it.

Recently,
we spoke with Heather Page, the tumbling and Special Needs coach. Her
objective for this team is to help bring them out of their shell. In order to accomplish this, they introduce the
special needs kids to all of the apparatuses in a one-on-one fashion so they
can feel comfortable in a non-threatening environment. This team practices an
hour and a half on Sunday's to prepare.

Super
Nationals held in Chicago at the McCormick Place.
In
addition to cheerleading, UA has added dance, behind the world renowned Joey
Tarwater, who oversees the program.
The dance program includes Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, and Musical Theater
classes. Plus, they have three competitive dance teams.
