Spirit Explosion

Founder / Coach: Danielle Bailey and Coach David

Recognized as one of the newer teams but packed with experience and explosiveness, hence the name, Spirit Explosion, they have been making their mark around the Chicagoland area. Their very first competition, which was

held at Six Flag Great America in Gurnee, IL, (NCA & NDA), they won two first place awards.

More recently, they performed at CSG Midwest Challenge receiving second place, as well as Spirit Sign Champion (i.e., most creative and unique spirit signs).

Spirit Explosion has an awesome staff, comprised of enthusiastic athletes, who love kids and the sport of cheerleading.  Their curriculum is designed to help each child achieve fitness and confidence in themselves so they have a healthy respect for each other, seek a life style for fun and fitness and to never give up.  In additional, they strive to provide a friendly, safe, colorful and clean place for kids to enjoy fun and fitness, by participating in the sport of gymnastics, dance and cheerleading, and for families to relax and enjoy watching their children success.

Their goal is to provide a positive, non-competitive environment where children can learn to accomplish their goals, have fun, establish life long friendships and gain the skills that will help them excel in life and all other sports and activities.

Currently, Spirit Explosion consists of two teams, with lots of room to grow. The teams consist of Sparkles (Tiny 1, ages 5 & 6) and Dynamite (Junior 3, ages 14 & under).

Coach Danielle brings to the mat tons of experience including her National Council for Spirit Safety and Education (NCSSE) certification. She is doing all of this with the full support of her husband, Rick, and three children, Wallace (12), Taundrea (8) and Ricki (2). She also coaches at an elementary school, CICS Wrightwood, who came in second place at the CSG Midwest Challenge competition. Whew... You go girl!!!
