Coach: Kina Bullock Coming off of a phenomenal season, including winning Grand
Champions at Cheer Spirit Group in Wisconsin Dells, the Chicago Twisters
continuing to take the city by storm. This
non-profit organization was established, educate, mentor and
train the youth of Chicago using the sport of cheerleading. Chicago Twisters All-stars (CTA) is an all-star cheerleading program that
builds the confidence and self-esteem of its athletes through proper training
to develop skills and a full range of performance and competition opportunities, nationally
as well as |
locally. CTA was the
first facility dedicated to cheer, dance and tumbling in the city of Chicago.
Their facility is also available for rent, which could be extended to birthday
parties, camps and clinics. One of
their personal staples is ParentÕs Night Out (PNO) where they provide their
facilities for participates to get together, have fun, in a safe environment,
while their parents get a chance to go out for an evening. What a wonderful
ideaÉ.
Under the
guidance of Coach Bullock, she wants the organization to continue to grow and
be a staple in the community, as well as increase their level of tumbling
skills, in order to begin competing at level 5. On top of that, she would love
to have a representative from her organization to compete in Australia this
summer.
The Chicago Twisters have four teams: Raindrops (5 & under); Sprinkles (8 & under); Thunder (11 & under); and Storm (14 & under).
Each participant must maintain a 2.0 grade point average or higher
throughout the season.
For the season so far, they have won first and second place at
Extreme Cheer, and first place at Champion Spirit Group fall competition.
In addition, Coach Bullock decided to raise the bar this season
taking on some new national competitions including CSG National at McCormick
Place in Chicago, CSG in Wisconsin Dells, and U.S. Finals (World) in Las Vegas
in April.
